Looks like it is coming that time of year again, the trees are starting to change colors and everyone is starting to look for all those sweaters and sweatshirts to wear for the impending cold. You step outside for the morning paper and catch the first glimpse of your breath misting into the air. You know it is coming, it is inevitable; winter is near.
I can't make your winter go by faster or guarantee it won't cause trouble, but what I can do is make sure your facility is safer for everyone that comes to it after the snow falls. Last year was the first year I attempted to plow snow, so it will make this year go smoother for everyone.
It is my goal this year to have all my clients plowing needs taken care of before 7:00am, even on the snowiest of days. To achieve this goal, I have added another vehicle to my fleet to increase plowing speed and to ensure reliable plowing services should one vehicle meet its end on the treacherous roads. What this means for you is quicker and more reliable service, you just can't beat that.
If you are familiar with my service, then you know I try to do the best job possible, which it quite important to keep things looking neat and keep people safe. For everyone signing on early, you will get the reduced rate which averages out to $60/hour, minimum of .5 hours. Otherwise it is a standard of $75/hour if contacted day of. It is my understanding that this is less than most charge for this service. Many others also try to get you signed onto a flat rate contract, which can be good or bad depending on the snow that falls. I feel that it is in everyone's favor to charge per snow fall so no one is left 'out in the cold'.
Here is an estimate of time for average facilities:
(Note: Last year there were six plowable snowfalls)
Small Service Station (About 4-8 pumps) 1-1.25 hours
Large Station with Adjoining Restaurant 2-2.5 hours
Simple Driveway style lot .5 hour minimum
Although a driveway style lot is quick to plow, I feel a 30 minute minimum to charge is required to cover getting to the site. If you are located in close proximity to another client, a drop in price can be negotiated for very small driveways if necessary. Since plowing times usually remains consistent from snowfall to snowfall, so you can estimate cost by previous invoices.
Send me an email or phone call to get an estimate (new clients) or to commit to my service so I can get you on my list for this coming season before the snow flies...
Have a pleasant winter season...
